Hallmarking

Hallmarking is required by English Law (Hallmarking Act 1973) to guarantee the fineness of precious metals above specific weight thresholds. I create jewellery in fine silver with sterling silver components. Any silver pieces with a total metal weight of over 7.78g must be hallmarked. This excludes copper and bronze due to not being classed as precious metals.  All of my silver pieces are below this weight and do not require a hallmark, however I am required to display the dealers notice.

For custom orders that are larger and do require a hallmark this will incur an additional charge. Please contact me for more information.
